Listening, Support, and Encouragement
I received my masters in Counseling in 2009 at Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, VA, while my husband was in the Navy.
I worked for two years in Lafayette at a community agency providing in-home counseling to children and their parents. At this point, I decided to pause my career to stay home with my kids.
In 2002, I returned to work in a private practice setting, providing individual counseling to college-aged students. Once licensed, I opened my own private practice where I continue today to offer individual counseling for a variety of concerns, including:
Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Self-Awareness, Self-Compassion, Boundaries, and Religious Conflict
I work with ages pre-teen to adult and provide a Christian/Catholic perspective when requested.
I utilize techniques and concepts from
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy)
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy)
I am Internal Family Systems -Informed, Trauma-Aware, and love to provide psychoeducation for insight and empowerment.
I work closely with clients for referrals when the scope of their concern is outside my expertise.
I currently hold a License in Louisiana and Maryland
